Aloha, Olympics!

I am VERY excited about the start of the Winter Olympics tonight!

I shudder at the thought of ever putting on skis myself, but I do really love watching the ski races!

I ADORE the figure skating competitions. I had aspirations of being Dorothy Hamill back in the day...and I had the haircut to prove it.

And let's not talk about my inexplicable crush on a certain red headed snow boarder...
(Good Luck, Shaun! Call Me! xo xo xo)

My Aloha Olympics Questions for you today are:

Will you be watching the opening ceremonies tonight?

If you could compete in any event, which one would you choose?

What's up with CURLING?

Curling is HAWT. Have you seen the physique of those dudes?

I will watch some of it, Jenni, but I was always too scared of broken bones to try skiing.

Is it sad that I so love the Olympics and all that they entail that I'll actually watch curling?

I love curling, I will probably not watch the opening.
Here's my Aloha Friday link for you

I probably will not remember to watch. Curling is one of those sports that nobody seems to know about.

I might catch a little of the opening ceremonies, but I doubt all of them. My winter sport is Extreme Hot Chocolate Chugging - I have the cutest outfit and Uggs to sport at the event too.

Wait. This better not be pre-empting any Law & Order marathons. Cuz that's the ONLY real marathon worth watching.

ha!

Just kidding (maybe).

I'm feeling pretty lame, I didn't know they were happening at all. I'm planning to watch last night's Greys Anatomy tonight...

I WILL be watching! I love the Olympics so much so that every two years, for two entire weeks, I shut down and become a couch potato!

DH actually enjoys watching curling!

Alas, no opening night Olympics for us. We're taking the kiddos to either Avatar (if it's still here) or Percy & the Olympiads. It's close, right?

oooooo..... I just want to find out how the no snow goes! You know they have been trucking in snow and making jumps out of hay bales...
To bad the East Coast couldn't donate some of their white stuff :)

Hmm probably not. Is it bad that I'm not big on Olympics? I dunno... Curling is one of my favorite things to watch though for some reason. LOL

Funny I should read this at the exact moment that they are interviewing Shaun White!

We'll watch the ceremonies, at least for a little while. Looking forward to watching figure skating and hockey.

Shaun White?!? Really??

I still don't "get" curling, but it's growing on me.

Um .... yeah. I probably won't watch the olympics this year. Although if I ever happen to see them on tv I think they are very interesting. I guess I really don't care much who wins anything. I have no idea what I would compete in, either. I guess I'm sort of dull that way. :)

I tried so hard to stay awake during the opening ceremonies, but after the countries came through, I was struggling to remain vertical. It didn't help that I was already in bed. :-)
