I have a hair appointment today.
I want to walk out of the salon with a head of gorgeous auburn hair.
I want to be look like a WHOLE NEW WOMAN.
A sexy, vibrant, BOLD new woman!
A woman who is not afraid to embrace her inner Lucille Ball!
(Actually, I already do that...)
But, I will probably walk out of the salon with my same old boring blonde highlights.
Because as I found out a few years ago...
Red hair maintenance is NOT EASY, and also VERY EXPENSIVE!
But, I sure did love it...

I so wish I was brave enough to go red....everyone is used to my same old boring blond highlights as well.

Very pretty! A whole new look! Yes, it's hard going red simply because the color is so tricky! I did it once and loved it. But, back to blonde.

I love red hair, but you are so right about the maintenance and expense - one reason I am not a redhead.

I spent most of high school and college searching for the perfect red hair, I looooove red hair but then around the time I graduated I was dating someone who was all, "Man I love red heads," and I nearly sucker punched him... because I'm not a red head. even if my hair was red at the time. lol. I dyed it back to brown, dumped him and never looked back. :OP

We could DO be twins. My hair is lighter now that I'm in the sun more, but when I was living in MA my hair was like that color because, well, I was never in the sun. :)

You know, I went red last time (for the hubs who LOVES red hair). It was nice while it lasted (all of 4 wks.) and now I'm going back to blond this week!!
