I don't know about you...
But I LOVE Birthday Cake!
This week, my oldest son turned 10 (sob).
I asked him what kind of a birthday cake he wanted, and he chose chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting.
Admittedly, the cake I made was from a BOX...because I am lazy.
But!
I did go all Betty Crocker and whip up the frosting myself.
It was soooooo good!
My questions for you this week are all CAKE related!
1. What is your favorite kind of cake?
(Double chocolate for me!)
2. What are you thoughts on whipped cream frosting?
(Personally, I think it is an abomination.)
3. It is your birthday party...someone wheels in a giant cake...you go to blow out the candles when SURPRISE! Who pops out of your cake?
(You can pick me if you want. But be warned ...I ain't cheap.)

Mmm I love just about any type of cake...But red velvet is a favorite for sure!
Whipped cream frosting? Depends on who makes it...I make a mixture of cream cheese and whipped cream that is to die for. Tooting my frosting horn, I know.
Hmm Gerard Butler would be nice to pop out of a cake. Yeah. Mmm hmm!
chocolate cake with seven minute frosting would be my first pick, but I love most cake.
I'm not opposed to whipped frosting but it's not a favorite.
To be honest, I'd love it if it were my friends back home in MA, I miss them! ::sniff::

I love triple chocolate fudge cake! I love whipped cream frosting! I have learned to make my own and come to find out I am not that bad at homemade frosting. LOL Happy Birthday to your son!
OOhh... chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and I HATE whipped cream frosting. ok, ok well right now I am having a "thing" for Matthew Gray Gubler from Criminal Minds. So I would love it if he would pop out of my cake but I would settle for Edward or Jasper. ;)
My favorite cake involves whip cream frosting!! But on any other cake I'd rather have the regular kind.
Chocolate cake with a thick layer of fudge topping in the middle followed by a layer of the frosting which is whipped cream mixed with crushed up candy canes. Love it!
I think Conan O'Brian is free so I'll pick him to be my cake jumper.

I'm personally not a fan of whipped cream frosting although I did have a cake once that had whipped cream frosting that was really good.
For jumping out of the cake, I would say my daughter. It would be worth seeing her face and watching her get covered in icing and cake since I know she would.

I love carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I hope that nobody and nothing pops out of it though.

My favourite cake: Italian Vanilla with Italian Vanilla Butter cream frosting.
No one best be jumping out of my cake.
Yellow cake with WHIPPED cream frosting and strawberry filling. And um, I'd prefer no one jumped out of it, what a waste of a cake.
My favourite is devils food chocolate and I like all icing but my fav icing is 7 minute frosting..yum!! And, if I had my choice of someone jumping out of the cake, I would chose the cutie from Dangerous Minds (no idea his name) but I am loving that guy right now:)

As for people jumping out of my cake, I would love it if John Travolta jumped out. Crazy, right? But I would love to hang out with him. Plus...remember his moves in Look Who's Talking? Mmmmhm!

i love chocolate cake with peanut butter and chocolate for frosting. i like whipped cream frosting. buttercream is often sweeter than i like my frosting. as far as someone popping out of the cake, i would have to say my husband or my best friend suz or ryan reynolds :o)

My favorite kind of cake would be Boston Cream cake. Oh my. And I also love coconut. And NOW, right this very second, I am hungry for some. Thanks a flipping lot : ) Jenni Jiggety!
