How Has Motherhood Changed Me.
By Jenni Jiggety
I'd like to tell you that motherhood has made me more organized, creative, and disciplined...
however the sad fact is that I am the same lazy, boring SLOB that I always was
Only now I am a lazy, boring, slob with a minivan.
I'd have to say that the one thing that has changed MOST about me since becoming a mom
is my capacity to LOVE.
I could never have imagined how very much I would love my family...
or how that love would continue to grow and stretch beyond what I thought was possible.
It's beautiful and amazing!
The second biggest change is the stretchmarks.

Beautiful. And then I read the line: "would continue to grow and stretch beyond what I thought was possible." and I thought you were describing my stomach.
Mom stretch marks are like battle scars on a Navy Seal.
Except the Navy Seal is more of a weenie than a mom.
I became wondermom for about two years. Then became an even BIGGER lazy boring slob.
(but that increased capacity to love rocks the Casbah)
I feel the same way! I always thing i have the type A personality just not the drive! check out my new blog www.atlmomguide.com
Stretch marks make us heros!
I don't mind the stretch marks when I look at my daughter.
Ah, the bloody strecht marks. Mine are so bad the dudes think I'm sweating. I like to remind them at that point that they are the reason I look this way. I'm sure they are scarred and will never ask their wives to bear their children.
Beautiful AND funny!
Motherhood is in a class all it's own!
Stretch marks were just a mean invention. Come on...we already do the pregnancy, breast feed, gain and have to lose the weight...did we need a forever reminder of how difficult all of that was too! Have a great day. Holly at lifelaughlatte.blogspot.com
Boy, did you hit the nail on the head. Only I thought you were talking about me not you! And I love my minivan because it's not a station wagon! lol
What a sweet post, well except for the stretch marks, but I do so understand.
Couldnt agree with you anymore. However, for me it aint stretchmarks, its water balloon boobs. That's it, the only difference.
fantastic. Keep Loving Jenni
I think the first change I noticed is that my boobs did not go back into the same place they were before I got pregnant. :(
But other than that, you are so right. Being a Mom is like opening your eyes and seeing life again only it is a different life than you saw before. So much richer and deeper. I feel some days like completely lost myself in being a mother--all that giving and giving and giving--and yet through this experience I really have started to learn who I am, what I'm made of. It's really amazing.
Gonna have to agree with you on all three fronts. :)
I agree wholeheartedly. Especially the stretchmarks. I got them on my legs, fercryinoutloud. There is no justice.
Damn you stretch marks!!!
I'm rolling here. Same slob but with a minivan AND stretch marks? Can't stop laughing. Thank you.
I used to be so selfish before I had kids. It's amazing how unselfish I've become now. Given the way I look right now, I need to get me some of that selfish back.
You got it! And how come no one really warns you about those stretch marks?
I find it hard to believe that you are boring! :)
I just wanted to tell you that I am always amazed at how you always manage to be concise, funny as hell and spot-on with every post. Do you have a professional writing staff or do you really do this yourself?
You have stretch marks? What are those? (Kidding.)
What a great post! Positively wonderful! I heard there is this cream for stretch marks... : )
I never got stretchmarks...but I can relate to the love thing.
