El Mentiroso Esta Random!

So I almost forgot to blog today because I was so preoccupied with playing the same Zumba song over and over and over again to practice the dance to it. Luckily my family just LOVES meringue music! (Ha.)

I have an unreasonable crush on Conan O'Brien. You can't stop me! And tonight my boyfriend swimming idol Michael Phelps is going to be on Conan's show! :::swoon::::

Also in random news this week, my washing machine is smelly...which I find not only annoying but ironic. Please advise.

So my husband just turned 36 which means for a few brief months while I am still 35 I get to feel like the younger woman. LOVE that.

Big Brother started, and I am allllllll up in that drama already. I really LOVE that show...and I would apply to be on it but I really look scary in the morning plus I don't want cameras filming me while I pee. Also, no internet? Does. Not. Compute.

Finally in the closing of the random-ness, I wanted to share that my dentist appointment last week was every bit as horrifying as I expected, and sadly I will have more to report as there is a PROBLEM that needs fixing. The painful, expensive, I-wish-I-had-dentures kind of fixing.

Keely has perfect choppers...

And I'm sorry about the dentist. Booo.

Run an empty load in your washer with some bleach and then run it empty again to make sure all the bleach is gone. Should help the smell. Hope that helps.

lol @ Conan. But I must admit I've had a hard core crush on Jimmy Fallon since SNL. He's just stupid cute;)

stinky washer u can try doing a cycle with bleach and detergent and MO clothes. idk if it'll work but it sounds good.

We have to run this washer cleaner stuff through ours once a month. Plus, the washer repairman told us to leave the door open (we have a front load) after each load until it dries out, to prevent the yucky mildew.

I've also had a crush on Conan forever and ever. It's the self-depricating humor thing. :)

Is the dentist ever NOT painful and expensive? My son went yesterday and he's the ONLY person I know who LOVES the dentist. I have a video of him just having a blast in the chair.

Have you heard of Affresh? We reviewed it on my review blog awhile back - I haven't personally tried it, but it might do the trick!

Get Affresh for your washer. You can get it pretty much anywhere, and you just put the tablet in and run it.
Oh, and I hate the dentist!

I fear I'll be wishing I had dentures in the very near future, too...

The dentist totally SUCKS-even if it's just for a cleaning. Bummer you have to go back. You made me laugh with the "Does. Not. Compute." So funny and how true?!

well I would tell you to use washing machine cleaner (which really seems ironic since it always HAS soap in it) but so many people already have. Liked the idea above about leaving the door open, but we have cats so then I would have a hairy, smelly washing machine! Good luck!

Loving Big Brother too!

Keep your washer door open for a few days - that's what I have to do w/ my front loader to get out the STANK.

I, too, am enjoying being the young gal around the house! The Hubs turned 44 in April and, well, I'll be hitting 44 in August so my "young" time is quickly running out. SIGH.......

Enjoy it while it lasts!

Blue Violet once reviewed this stuff that is supposed to make your washer smell good.

I'm so sorry about the dentist :(

Get under the rubber seal around opening of the washer & wipe it out with a Clorox or Lysol wipe. Mildew gets trapped under there. Leave the door cracked for air circulation. Every so often I wash a floor mat in really hot water with bleach & vinegar & that seems to help too.

blueviolet said...

Yeah, Heatherlyn's right. There's this stuff I reviewed once called Smelly Washer that fixed that for me. And I soaked my towels in it and it saved some of them that I thought I was going to have to throw away due to stinkiosity.

John is 8 months younger than me. He just turned 32, which means I get to feel chronologically equal until September.

just reading the word dentist makes me cringe...i've never watched big brother, but maybe i should!

LOL on the age. Dh is 2 months older than me (we're both 36 now) and I am the same way. I love to be younger for those 2 months.
Run vinegar through your washer. Put it in the detergent cup. You can use bleach, but I am allergic so I have to find an alternative. Also, you can use a vinegar soaked cloth to clean around the rim and seal of the door.

I used to love being the 'younger woman' - would always rub that in especially as the ex was nearing 30 lol

Excuse me. Michael Phelps is MY boyfriend. *Nods firmly*

I also enjoy Big Brother. I can't wait until people stop being polite and start getting real. Oh wait. That's the tag line to The Real World. Which I also watch.

Did you get your washer fixed?
Run bleach in it. Those front loaders are great at getting mildew buildups.
I am loving BB this year...awwwwwwesome!

who are you rooting for in big brother? WHAT the heck is a "technotronics"?

i don't get people who either A) don't have internet or B) have it but don't use it.

what do they do all day? like my brain literally does not get what they could possibly be doing.

Brenda said...

Wow, you got a lot of washer advice! I have never watched BB but maybe I should give it a try.

I married an older man (6 years) so I always get to be the youngest and I love it. :)

You should totally vlog the Zumba... :)

Yep, blueviolet reviewed this stuff called Smelly Washer that's supposed to remove the icky smell. I'm actually waiting for a sample of it to try out and review, then will be doing a giveaway. In the meantime, do the empty load with bleach - and leave the door open after to dry out...it helped with my smelly washer situation. I'm hoping for a more permanent, miracle cure with Smelly Washer. ;)

Happy RTT! :)

for the washer try some vinegar, mix it w/ water and put it in the fabric softner and the tub of the washer then wash some towels after it won't hurt them.

I. Hate. The Dentist.

Boo.

And you're right...being the younger woman is lovely. Thankfully my husband will always be ancient.

That's why I picked him.

Daddy complex.

I love Conan too - he's definitely on my "list!" Nobody seems to understand that, so it's refreshing to finally come across someone who does. :)

I saw some of Big Brother this past week...never was really into that show--I'll stick to Amazing Race and Survivor =).

Sorry to hear about the dentist...I've had my share of dental problems after not going for over 10 years, but hopefully once your problem is fixed you'll be back to smiling in no time =).

Love Conan! But I suspect America is not ready for pure Conan and that is wrong.

And do you have a front-loading washer? There is stuff for that smell. Affresh is one and I think Tide has one out too.
