Aloha, August?

What the heck happened to July?

It rained a lot ...I blinked...and now BAM! Tomorrow is August!

I have a pretty serious love/hate thing going with August.

I love that it is still summer and I am still on vacation but I also have to start facing the harsh reality of SEPTEMBER...
My questions for you this week:

1. Can you even BELIEVE it is nearly August?

2. Do you have any fun plans for the remainder of the summer?
3. Do you think it is too late for me to go to clown school?
4. How long do you think I have before my back-to-school night sweats begin?

Oh Back-To-School night. I think I'd take parent/teacher conferences over BTS night. Yikes....nope. No real plans for the end of the summer and no I can't believe tomorrow is August. We're heading into the "Holiday Zone" soon and that' sjust depressing how fast things are going.

Regarding clown school: I'd say stick to your day job!

1) No I cannot believe it, time seems to have sped up.
2) No. My in-laws are driving out before school resumes.
3) Not at all. Follow your dreams.
4) After the first day of school?

Your blog is exceedingly fun!

1. No, where did July go?
2. Not really.
3. Um . . . clown school, is that different from being a mom?
4. Could be any minute, all that prep work, you know.

I can hardly believe that it is almost August. And, yes, I plan to squeeze in lots of fun things into this month like a local baseball game, floating the Boise river, family ice-skating, a few trips to Eagle Island State park, and the snow cone park, a picnic by the river and a family trip to our local museum. Once school starts, life is crazy. It makes me a little bit anxious. I think it REALLY begins about 2 weeks before it all starts.

1. No I can't believe it's August. Mostly because I'm another year older in September and it seems I just keep getting older and older.

2. My wife decided to cram all the miscellaneous events we ever talked about doing over summer break in August. We'll be busy. :)

3. It's never too late to attend clown school.

4. Night sweats should begin in approx 2.0 weeks when you realize August is half over and half way to September.

I think you could TEACH clown school! LOL!

1. I've been amazed at how all of 2009 has flown by!
2. I did all of my fun plans at the beginning of summer and don't have any now.
3. It's never too late for anything you want to do!
4. Not long now...sorry

August is sort of a weird month. I am hoping for school to start, because I was told I could go back to my old office, but I think it's not going to happen.

I cannot agree w/ you more about July!

We are getting the rest of our school supplies & washing lots of hair.

School starts in a week & a half. Not certain yet if I'm excited or not.

I can't believe that tomorrow is August first either. Crazy. We have a few fun things planned for the rest of summer, but nothing major. We hope to get a few more uses out of the new camper we just bought. And no, it's never to late for clown school. :-)

I am a winter person and I will be happy when summer is over! I cannot stand the humidity.

I don't have any special plans for the rest of the summer, I am just going to be doing stuff around the house.

It is never too late to do something that you want.

1. Yes, thank GOD! My husband was just gone for 35 days, and I'm glad he'll be home later today so I can run away.
2. We might try to do Sesame Place or the train museums before school starts.
3. Clowns are creepy. Don't go to clown school.
4. If I were a teacher I'd have back to school night sweats the day summer vacation started. I consider you already ahead of the game.

August is gonna be WAY more fun for me than July was!

I don't know what happened to July. It rained the whole month.

We're still hoping to get to the Air & Space Museum before school starts.

Clowns are kinda creepy

I don't know about the sweats. Our kids go back Aug 19th. The teachers went back yesterday.

I am not ready for August. We do have a trip planned but...School is looming and that stinks!

I cannot believe it's almost August! As far as your night sweats - the back to school supplies are ALREADY in the stores, so I'm afraid you will begin your nightly anxiety attacks pretty soon. Time to stock up on lots of wine!

No, I can't believe it's August. Summer flies by fast. I like it in one way because I hate the heat and my son is getting antsy at home. But I wish that it felt longer. We don't have any big summer plans; we're broke so we can't really do much. I think you can go to clown school any time you want! Back to school night sweats will probably come about a week before school starts. lol

I agree with you July just seems to go by along with the constant rain. Oy! No real plans for August here. My son's 6th B-day, short summer camp for him and a few other little things. I remember starting to get jittery about going back to school when I was teaching. August was the month that made me sweat since it was coming soon.

I can not believe it is Aug tomorrow. Ugh... We are taking the kids to Maine tonight for the weekend and then football begins in my corner of Mass... so we are tied down 5 days a week til school starts.. then 3 nights a week and all weekend til Thanksgiving UGHH... Have a great rest of your summer! Try not to stress about it but it isnt easy when all the stores are starting to put out back to school stuff lol

No, I can't believe it's August either. Especially since the weather has been so awful... I feel totally cheated out of summer. Blech.
Hopefully it will start to feel more like summer for the next month. (Waaah! Only a month!)

i really dislike august, because each year as it rolls around it makes me realize that i didn't do a darn thing the whole summer, and now it is almost over! so, no, i don't like august, call me when it is september.

1. Can you even BELIEVE it is nearly August?
No it isn't. Don't lie.
2. Do you have any fun plans for the remainder of the summer?
Camping, Beach, Family get together, House "shopping", annnd more!
3. Do you think it is too late for me to go to clown school?
*cringe*
4. How long do you think I have before my back-to-school night sweats begin?
I'm surprised they haven't already begun.

The reality that it's almost August slapped me in the face this morning when I saw a commercial for back to school stuff. Seriously? Come on already! Here in Maine it's only been summer for a day or so. And yet, there's September, right around the corner. Next week I'll probably walk into the grocery store and see Halloween decorations!

No I CANNOT believe it is nearly August. Makes me sad.

The family and I will be heading to California mid-August to attend a friend's wedding! Looks like it'll be a fun one!

Word on the street is they are always looking for newbies at the clown school. Just saying.....

Back to school night sweats...I feel for you!

CaraBee said...

I can't believe it is almost August. Like hours away. It's been such a mild summer, too, I kind of wish it would last longer. Usually by August, I'm screaming to the heavens, ENOUGH WITH THE HEAT ALREADY! I NEED COLD!

Sadly, no plans. Sigh.

blueviolet said...

If you make the call right now, you might be able to still get into clown school. Hurry!

mommablogsalot said...

I think I'm still in denial about this whole August thing. I'll think about it tomorrow (because tomorrow is another day?). Honestly with the new baby though, it's all kind of the same thing, just different weather. We might go to the beach once more if I'm up to it, other than that - just hanging out and resting up.

If you do go to Clown School you'd better take pictures for the blog! Rest up and enjoy the next month - Septembers coming whether we like it or not!

LOL I feel the same way too much rain, so cold, and now it's August...where do the days go???

No major plans LOL some sun would be nice!

No I can not believe it is almost August. What the heck happened to this summer and the weird part is it has been a really unusually cool summer so it has felt more like May all summer instead of July.

No big plans just getting ready for back to school.

1. Nooooo. How is it even possible
that July is already over???

I can't believe it's already almost August. This year has really flown by.

We don't really have any set plans but to enjoy the slip and slide pool when a slightly warm day creeps in. We have had a fairly cool summer.

It's never to late to go back to school

Back to school night sweats have already begun for me...or maybe that is pre-menopause.
Our kids go back on the 10th!!!
Nothing fun planned the next week other that sleep, sleep and whining along with wine (me, not the kids).
Clown school - can I join too? I am searching for a job.....

WhisperingWriter said...

Er, I'm already wearing the sweats. :)

I can't believe it's August. Tomorrow I leave for Texas for a beach trip so that'll be fun.

Brenda said...

Its never too late for clown school, even in August :)

Elle said...

Ummmm..no way..it's August already? Nope, no more fun plans, just hoping for some more nice days for pool time. Really? Clown school? I'm not a big fan of clowns at all. They kinda remind me of that Stephen King movie "It". Remember Pennywise?
I give the night sweats a couple of more weeks before they kick in.
Happy AF!

As I write this there are 39 minutes of July left. And the worst part of all is I had to start back to school TODAY! Yes today, in July. My job officially sucks (I'm a teacher in case you couldn't tell!)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Enjoy the end of your summer b/c mine slammed the door shut this morning!!

The summer has gone by way too fast. It's simply not fair!
I have no real plans for August other than finishing up an on-line TEFL course, and get together with friends who are back from vacation.

It's never too late to go to circus school!!!!!

Hello! I'm dropping a baby in TWO WEEKS!!!! NO! I'm in TOTAL DENIAL that it is August!!!!

And yes, it's too late for you to enroll in clown school. But you should be ok with one of those internet courses. :o)

Never too late for clown school. LOL. We have one more fab trip planned at the end of the month. Summer here lasts until October and our 2 year old is in private school so we are not on the standard schedule...yet. LOL.

I refuse to worry about my job until I wake up the first day of school. Can't we just blow off the first day learning names and socializing with the kids!! LOL.

... don't worry. I am a real math nazi. We do math from day one. But, I am not going to worry about the work until my alarm goes off for the first day of work. SOAK IN THE SUN!!!
