More About My Feet (You're WELCOME!)

So yesterday I showed you the pretty side of my feet! If you missed it, scroll down!

Go ahead...I'll wait.

You ready? Okay!

Well, I have to confess today that there is another not-so-pretty side to my feet.

There is a seedy, dark underbelly...

(Yes, I said my feet have an underbelly! Just work with me here...)

You see, I have a CORN on the bottom of my big toe.

Yes, I said a CORN.

No, I am not 85.

I didn't take a photograph of my jacked up old lady toe, but you can see my artistic renderings below.

It's a little souvenir I brought home from Disney World.

And it hurts.

It is pretty much like walking around with a rock in my shoe ALL the time.

I keep hoping that if I complain about it enough that it will just go away on its own, but it doesn't seem to be working...

I guess I am going to have to suck it up and head to the Decrepit Feet section of the drugstore to pick up some Dr. Scholl's Old Lady Toe Poultice.

Ahhh...to have the feet butt, boobs, hips, and memory of a twenty-something again...

So, I think the problem I had with the PedEgg is that my feet are just too darn pretty and smooth! Not a corn in sight!

I'm not a PedEgg convert, but I do love the Foot Spa products form bath and Body works and my pumice stone.

Ouch!

You did just remind me to pack my corn pads for our upcoming Disney trip though.

Thanks! Way to pay it forward.

What the hell is a PedEgg? Have I missed some wonderful foot-smoothing product that will turn my ugly cracked heels into something of beauty?

I have one on the side of my big toe that I have saved all the way back from high school. And I have good ol' Doc Martin to thank for it! Those shoes were extremely popular back in the day, but obviously not so good to my feet.

I can ususally scrub it down and keep it lotioned up pretty good until it blends in with the rest of my toe, but I hear ya, sometimes it's painful!

Let me know what you find if it works - I might just try it too!! =)

They make large metal files that will make cornmeal out of that monstrosity in no time!

Thanks for sharing the drawing and not a photo!!! You don't even want to hear my feet horror stories (cracking heels that make the Death Valley look like an Oasis).

I have heard of 'corns' but never stopped to think about them.I think I have one, too. I was walking barefooted around the house the other day and...ouch. Thanks for the diagnosis!

Oh - I have had those nasty things before! BUT, I must admit, I love the Tiffany blue shade - your feet look great to me!

Being a crafty one I have to say your artistic skills are fabulous. Never before has a drawn picture of a corn made me laugh out loud.

The PedEgg kinda creeps me out. I mean...that's your SHAVED OFF SKIN in there!! Gross!

But if it works I guess it's worth it yeah?

PS: Why must they be called corns? Do they look like corn? Are they yellow like corn?

oh big nasty! I'm not so much a corn girl as I am a planter wort kinda lady. That's my flavor of fungus...

Girl, go buy some of those corn pads. They'll make life worth living again. Trust me.

Jenni, don't feel bad. I am the callus Queen! Corns? Bah! Just kidding, find some good corn pads & get that baby gone!!

I am not really sure what a corn is, but it sounds unpleasant. I hope you are able to get rid of it (if that is the goal).

Ouch! Go on girl and get what you need to feel better. Can you get me some Bengay while you're at it? ; )

Heatherlyn said...

Isn't there some medicine that will make it go away? Surely with all our progress and technological advancements you can get rid of it. No one needs something painful on the bottom of their foot. :(

We still love you. Even with your old icky feet. Just don't expect a foot massage.
