WW: Slim Goodbody

Remember Slim Goodbody?

Part Captain Kangaroo...Part Richard Simmons,

he taught us kiddos all about being healthy back in the day!

And he gave a whole new meaning to the term "Body Suit"...

It takes a VERY secure man to rock a flesh-colored unitard with intestines on it...

Well eat your heart out, Slim!

There's a new Goodbody in town!

And he is cuter, has better hair, and check out the size of that BRAIN!!!

Jack Jiggety...working his body parts.

(If I had a unitard, I would have put it on him.

And he would have let me.

And that is what makes Jack such good blog material.)

Please go see Angie at Seven Clown Circus for more Wordful Wednesday Posts!

They will probably have less intestines, but they won't have as much HEART!

Ha! Get it?

I'll be here all week. Tip your waitress.

Unfortunately....

Wow. I totally forgot about Slim Goodbody. Kind of creepy, actually. But Jack? Pure cuteness!

For the first time I'm actually noticing that Slim Goodbody didn't have a brain! Or, um, genitals, apparently! So funny!
Great costume!

I admit, I do remember Slim Goodbody but he freaked me the hell out.
Jack Jiggety? Not so much, he's just cute. Him I could learn from. Can you ask him where my appendix is?
Seriously, they took it out years ago and I can't find it.
Thanks

Cute!

My son would love that unitard. He's really into the human body and has been know to say, "Then my food goes down my esophogus, then to my stomach, then to my large intestine, then to my small intestine and then I poop it out!"

Mrsbear said...

Nice! Glad to know all his interior parts are in good working order, and artfully colored as well. ;)

I had TOTALLY forgotten about the original Slim Goodbody. OMG the memories. Or wait, was it nightmares? *lol*

Jack is way too cute though and I'm kinda glad you didn't slap a unitard/leotard on him...those always scared me, back in the day. I think our parents used to put them on us as some sort of torture device. I can remember almost having a heart attack trying to get them off in order to use the loo!

Heatherlyn said...

That's very cute. I love that he has enough confidence, or trust, that he would have worn the unitard! His outfit is interesting AND educational!

Dude, totally remember Slim Goodbody!!

And when I was a substitute teacher, I worked in a class where the teacher left a video of Mr. Goodbody. When I put it on, first the kids were amazed at the size of the VHS cassette and then they laughed all the way through Mr. Goodbody's show.

It made me so sad. He was so great when I was little but these kids just didn't want to have anything to do with him and his show.

Never heard of him, but Jack makes a great case for wearing your heart on your sleeve. And your lungs, and intestines...

And I'm only here until tomorrow.

Slim Goodbody! Oh, that is such a blast from the past!

Looks like Jack is ready to enter med school, with all that knowledge of our insides! (or maybe a career on the stage...)

When I was a mother's helper in NY a friend (also mh) went to do things on our day off. We got back to her house & the little boy she took care of came running out to greet us. The first thing out of his mouth was "I have a penis & you don't. Girls have BAGINAS!" The was the first thing I thought of when I saw "Slim Goodbody" & then Jack. Too funny. Say, is Jack available for kid's parties?

Pamela Kramer said...

Yes, I do remember him! Your son looks cute.

The second goodbody is WAYYYY cuter...still not my type, but quite an improvement.

That's pretty funny Jen, gosh...years ago when I was PTA pres, I hired Slim Goodbody to come to the school. lol.

Actually, it went really well. Although I thought the suit may have been a bit too , shall we say...skin fitting...for small kids. lol.

Jack is awesome of course... so ignore me and my rudeness huh?

hey you need a favicon... like a little bloggy earring yes??

Slim Goodbody scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. I didn't remember that that was his name because we always called him "creepy inside-out-body guy."

Your kid's wearable anatomy lesson is much less scary and a lot more adorable than creepy inside-out-body guy's.

Laura said...

Too Cute.
I'm going to tell the science teacher at school about this.
