I finally got myself over to see my doctor yesterday.
I am not always a big fan of seeing the doctor...mostly because I am afraid of needles, blood, and that crinkley paper on the table...
Also? Last time I went she offered to "skip the rectal". What if I wasn't so lucky this time? Who wants to go in for a cough and then hear, "Well since you're here anyway...how about I stick my finger in your bum?" NOT. ME.
Thankfully, there was no mention of my rectum at all! ::::unclenches cheeks::::
She did say that I have bacterial bronchitis, and she gave me some prescriptions to help me get over it.
One of my prescriptions is for cough medicine with codeine. I took some last night, and WOW! Codeine pretty much ROCKS. I love it! Do you have some? Do want some?
Hey! Later on why don't you come over and watch 90210 with me? Every time someone simpers, pouts, or cries, we'll do a codeine shot!
I'll supply the codeine and the shot glasses, but you should bring your own hand sanitizer. And! A surgical mask.

ROFL! I'm glad I wasn't sipping on my tea right now. I would be cleaning up a mess, that's for sure.
Oh and, I'm in for the codeine, LOL! A couple months ago I was dealing with a bad wisdom tooth on a weekend. Couldn't get it pulled until Monday so I took some Tylenol w/ codeine. It was I wasn't nursing I probably would have taken another, ROFL! That stuff is FANTASTICO!

I had liquid codine when I got whooping cough (yes I got actual whooping cough) but all that it did for me was make me fall asleep. :-( It was a nice release from the pain, but I was hoping it would be a little more fun.
Drugs are a gooooooooooood thing!
now I'm hoping you can stay awake long enough for gno. you should be a hoot on cough meds...I might have to do this one sober just to enjoy the show!

Ohhhh, I LOVE that stuff - it's yellow if I remember correctly? The docs have me on the "list" for asking for it one too many times. But seriously, does it not make you feel so much better!?

Hey! I had that magic cocktail earlier this year! Woo Hoo! You might not want to watch Look Who's Talking while you're on that because the labor scene when the baby starts to see his hand a bajillion times? Yeah well that gets kind of freaky! And if you watch it too closely it makes you want to pass out. Just a tip!
Nyquil totally knocks me out, so I think that Codeine would be dangerous.

i have some cough syrup with codeine. i love it. i can't have it now though... bummer!
I bet if you took a couple shots of that codeine before going to the doctors, you might just think otherwise about your butthole being examined. *creepy wink*
Well, fancy seeing you at the doctors too! I just went to see my doc today also. I have a tickle in my lung (aka sinus infection) but I didn't get anything with codeine like you and your charmed life! All I got was some antibiotics, and a pen with the antibiotic brand on it. Wee. I showed him my heart, and all I got was a stupid pen.
Hate doctors for the same reasons as you...and Codeine well (my Hubby was taking it for ear infection and I'll tell you he was in such a good mood LOL) I took it only once for some stomach thing and it was Tylenol 3 with Codeine, two hours after I had it I thought I was going to die. Ahhh all the hallucinations and burning pain in my stomach hahahahha NEVER AGAIN LOL

Um, if she was giving you a rectal exam for bacterial bronchitis, I'd tell you to find a new doctor who knows which end is which!

I get the codeine cough syrup for when I get bronchitis once a year. I only take it at bedtime (otherwise, the whole day is lost as I am sure you have discovered). Yep, codeine cough syrup is my friend.
I have stopped going to the doctor because every time I go, they find something wrong (and it leads to more tests). I am safest staying away.
Yeah codeine is pretty fabulous, isn't it! That stuff KNOCKS me out!!!
I gotta go to the girly doc in a few hours!!! You'd think with the {almost} 10 visits in the last year, I'd be all used to it by now.... nope!!! Still hate em!!!

Yes, I also try to avoid instances where a stranger sticks their finger up my bum. Sorry to hear about the bronchitis, but I must admit that codeine indeed does rock. Glad you got some of the good stuff!

Awesome! I looove codeine. You can get a similar affect from good dose of Tylenol PM and a hot cup of tea. (seriously!)

well sorry you were sick! I am kinda used to the whole doctor's office thing as far as blood and needles but um the whole rectal thing even made ME clench my cheeks. lol Oh and I love 90210. Oh and I have my ambien but I never get to stay awake long enough to enjoy it.. I don't know about codeine. hmmm ;)
