Aloha Black Friday!

Today is the busiest shopping day of the year! Many people are going to be getting up at 3am to hit the sales, wait in lines, and shop until they drop!

But not me.

Ohhhhhhhh no.

I am sleeping late, staying my my pajamas all morning, and then shopping online from my couch!

Today is a day off from work for me! No way am I getting up and heading out early! I probably will go out later in the day after my husband gets home from work though. I don't have any crazy lists of things to buy...but I like to go out and just leisurely poke around. It's a fun day to shop!

My Aloha Black Friday Questions Are:

If you are going out shopping...
where are you going, and what are you getting?

If you are not hitting the sales, what are you doing instead?

ALSO!

Did you have leftover pie for breakfast?

AND!

Do you think my husband will buy me this Lifesize/Standup Edward Poster for Christmas?

You should go over the Kailani's blog An Island Life for more Aloha Friday fun!

AND today is my Beautiful! Fabulous! Day! Get over there and see how many different and creative ways I can refer to MY BUTT in one blog post!

I do plan on shopping today. Nothing really special though. I just love the crazy excitement of today.
And I didn't have pie for breakfast, but I am drinking a pie flavored coffee.. does that count?

No real plans to go shopping. My hubby is working today so I have the two boys with me. Not sure if I am brave enough to venture to the stores with my 5 year old and 18 month old.

No pie here. All of the leftover items are at my aunt's house safely away from here :)

Didn't go this morning 'cause Hubby & I still need to decide what we're doing for the kids. No leftover pie to have! And today we're just going to enjoy being a family.

gonna shop but not early... i'll probably head out around 11. looking for kitchen stuff mostly... a baking stone, a large skillet, a new cheese grater. gonna hit kohls, bed bath and beyond and target. only giving myself $40 to blow, so i probably won't be out TOO long :-)

betcha didn't REALLY want to know all that ;-)

We're not going out for the official black friday shopping but once the crowds have died down I'm planning to take dh to REI to get him a new pair of boots - long over due. In the meantime, I'm baby sitting and you know watching my own kid, who is watching Sid the Science Kid.

We don't have any pie! Dh's parents gave us a huge grab bag of leftovers but no desserts were included - isn't that criminal?

If your DH buys you that I'm thinking he should win Husband of Year awards for the next five years. :)

we will go shopping but just for fun :) Maybe will hit Walmart :)

Nothing could get me in a store today. I did do some online shopping though & finished up buying all the gifts I need to get.

I did not have pie for breakfast but I'll be having it with lunch.

I don't see the Edward attraction,I think he looks creepy, so I have no comment on the poster

Not going shopping...just watching the 2 boys today. If I had any leftover pie I would definitely have it for breakfast!

If he does buy you that poster...that would be quite amazing!

Hanging out w/ the kids and taking the sick one to the dr.

I wish I had pie for breakfast--but it was gone! Did have some cookines though...

I think huibby should definitely get you the Edward cutout!!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!

My wife and I are heading out this afternoon. I'm not really looking for anything. I'm just acting as a bodyguard to my credit card.

I ate all the pie last night . . . except the rich one, which I will not eat at 4AM.

Sure, your husband will get you the Lifesize/Standup Edward Poster . . . ah, who is he? :)

I think I might go to Pier 1 and Target, but that's it. I'm meeting friends for lunch and then off to see Twilight!

I never shop on Black Friday! Just hanging out at home with hubby and kids today...and blogging!

No Black Friday for me either. I slept in until 9am. Woo Hoo!

And I think your husband should TOTALLY get you that Edward stand up for Christmas!

Only shopping we've done is for groceries, and that's all I'm doing today.

We have put the Manger up outside and my hubby is fluffing the tree as I type.

Leftover pie is a great breakfast! Wish I had some of my hubby's wonderful pumpkin pie to have.

I don't know about the poster. If he's anything like my hubby, nope won't happen.

Oh finally I got some sleep LOL and no way, I'm not going anywhere tonight :) Hmmm maybe to buy milk, but I can do that late LOL

No pie but I do have cool cake LOL

And Hubby should definitely get you the poster :) so cool :)

P.S. Get your award girl LOL it's on top of the page :)

We went all over today...didn't find much though. We bought a blu-ray DVD player and a new camera, that's about it.

Cathy said...

I will be going out later today to do some shopping...I will be relaxing with my family, putting up decorations and eating leftovers.

And, yes, I do think your husband will buy you the lifesize poster of Edward, after he laughs hysterically, of course.

Jess said...

Hubs did all the kids' shopping, now we just have buy for each other and other family members. He went out yesterday and today.

Oh, I totally hear you on this one! I am all about online shopping in my PJs! The malls are in NY area are a total nightmare this time of year. You take your life in your own hands going shopping. And in just the parking lot alone!

Dee said...

i'm all ready for the day, dressed from head to toe, but laying in bed, blogging and what not. Now I don't like crowds or long lines so shopping for me today isn't an option.

I didn't think of the online shopping tho. I think maybe I'll take a peak around the web.

Aloha Monkey said...

I won't be anywhere near a mall. I'm not even leaving the house. I'm doing absolutely nothing useful on the computer :)

I just gave my son a piece of leftover pumpkin pie for breakfast this morning.

And if you beg enough, you might get the lifesize Edward poster. Maybe I should put that on MY wish list too! I MUST have it!

janetfaye said...

No shopping for me today, but I did eat pie for breakfast!

I hope you get the poster!

Jen said...

I probably won't be going out to a store today. We are decorating instead. I'll be doing most of my shopping online this week.

I NEED that lifesize Edward for my room. I want him to watch me while I sleep!!

My insane husband goes out on black friday every year.

This year his 2 big must haves was a "glow station" and a kids waterproof / shock proof digital camera.

Did you hear on the news that a Wal-mart employee was KILLED this year?!?! insanity.

I too stay home in my PJs and avoid the crowds. I do 90% of my holiday shopping online.

Jennifer Suarez said...

Oh and, I did have pie, but for lunch :-D

Kelly said...

i definitely did NOT get up and head out to go shopping. but mostly because i'm broke. i did make it out to make my mortgage payment and the huge shopping center that the bank is in was not that busy at all. it just looked like a busy weekend. definitely not "black friday traffic". sad.

Kellan said...

Yes - I had pumpkin pie for breakfast and then I had it again for lunch and then a piece of pecan pie after dinner - how many calories you suppose that is? NO, DON'T TELL ME!!

Have a good weekend - Kellan

I stayed in the house ALL day with the exception of a 15 minute jaunt to the post office to mail some orders. It was divine. No pie for breakfast...but boy does that sound yummy!

Jen @ Mommay's Mayhem said...

I hit the Childrens Place and bought an outfit for each kid. Then hit Michaels with my 50% off coupon for a Thomas the Train piece. (I'll be going back tomorrow to use my other one)

No pie for breakfast...but I did have a frosted brownie! yum!

I decided today was the day to get all the Christmas stuff out. My husband has the flu, I don't know what I was thinking!!!

Hope you enjoyed your pj time! Sounds divine and much smarter than my plan!

Proud Mommy said...

Did you have a camera in my house watching me shovel the pumpkin pie with mile high whip cream into my mouth at 8:30am?!!!
No, there was no shopping today, unless you count the amoxicillin that I picked up for both of my kids who spent the afternoon in the doctor's office with ear infections!!!
I am positive you will find the life size Edward under the tree this Christmas!!!

Alyson, the 3 P's Mama said...

Girl...I cannot wait to read your B!F! post and you betcha I eat pie for breakfast!! Especially pumpkin...we have to make an extra one just to have left for breakfast!
See, I think that Pie was mislabled as a dessert - it was really meant to be a breakfast food!

As for the shoping, are you kidding me? Not on your life! Instead we helped my Mom put up her tree and get down her boxes of Christmas decor then took a great nap!

And as for Hubby getting you the poster of Edward....why not? ;)

Amy @ Thoughts from the Mrs. said...

I didn't go out to shop yesterday. I went to a parade instead. I didn't even shop online. I only have one present left to buy anyway.

I didn't even think to eat leftover pie for breakfast...maybe tomorrow. :)

Aaaaaaaaaand, if your hubby is anything like mine, he will NOT appreciate a life-size poster of his "competition". :)

Terra said...

We don't black friday shop either. Nothing could make me brave those crowds!

Annie said...

I made 1 stop but did some online shopping!

Heart of Rachel said...

We don't have Black Friday in the Philippines but I love the thought of many shops on sales.

Wow, a life size Edward poster, now that's cool. :)

Cheryl Lage said...

SOOOO not a shopper...on Black Friday, or any day really. Online shopping, now THAT's more fun! (In my pajamas, with pie in hand... ;) )

Although I DID take the kids to our new Bass Pro Shops for the sheer spectacle of it all....such is a mother's love as I don't like A.) camping, B.) hunting or C.) outdoorsy stuff in general.

Still have some pie left here....how's yours holding up? ;)

I did the shopping thing for the first time ever. I hate croweds but this year I decided to head out for a few good deals. I was not up early we went out around 10 in the morning. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Brittany said...

I am with you, I did my shopping from the couch, much less stressful!

Jennifer said...

I think if you just keep dressing up your kid as Edward, you don't really have to worry about the cardboard cutout! Of course, you can't have make-out sessions with the kid. But the cardboard would get all wet and goopy, so make sure you cover him in saran wrap before making out!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I just wanted to comment and tell you that your husband should totally by you that life size poster of Edward... wouldn't any good husband do that? Now I am off to see how many ways you refer to your butt ;)

No way baby, you won't find me out there!

I don't have any money! LOL

I did not go shopping. Black Friday shopping is not my idea of fun at all! And I did not have pie for breakfast, but I did have some later in the afternoon!

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday!

I slept LATE instead of shopping EARLY and I ate leftover pumpkin cheesecake when I woke up. Mmmmmm...

I think your hubby should wrap a big bow around Edward and leave him by the Christmas tree for you

For the first year, went shopping - was in line at Target at 5:30am. Went to a bunch of places and got home at 1pm. Got some great things for the kids and birthday presents for months to come :)

I had leftover pumpkin pie for a late night snack on Thursday night :)

Yes, your husband will let you get the lifesize poster if you're really, really nice to him ;)

What did I do on Friday?
Went to the YMCA in Beaufort SC to try to work off the dinner.
I just felt like a big walrus.
AND we watched It's a Wonderful Life.
No shopping.
Good day.
