Wordy Wednesday- Now With EXTRA Words!

I am raising these boys of mine RIGHT....

Gotta read Mom's blog before we do our homework...

This is the desk where my kids spend many, many hours playing video games researching different science topics.

The had to have their own computers because, uhhhhh, they're SO not using mine.

I am using it. Perpetually. No touchy Mommy's laptop.

They had ONE to share at first...but there was bickering (OH MY LORD, THE BICKERING).

So then, there were two.

Now, don't go thinking that we went out and bought these computers for the children, because we did not.

What do you think we are? The Hiltons?

My husband, bless his heart, has a bit of a computer parts addiction. He orders new memory sticks and hard drives and gigs and rams and other thingy-ma-bobbers that make crap GO all faster and whatnot.

(Sorry! I didn't meant to get all technical on you, there.)

Anyway, he is forever downstairs surrounded by piles of itty bitty screws upgrading his computer's stuff.

As a result, we have boxes and piles of computer parts that my husband has deemed no longer worthy of him and his magnificent Call of Duty 4 playing machine.

So basically my boys got computers made out of leftover parts, duct tape, and love.

Our love of living a bicker-free lifestyle.

You lucky duck having a technical savvy hubby! How cool is that!

I hear ya on the bickering. Imagine 4 girls of various ages fighting mom for the computer. LOL

That's so great that your husband put those together! My husband keeps trying to build his own computer (even though we each have a laptop plus a desktop and have absolutely no need for another one). Unfortunately, he doesn't actually know how and keeps giving up! Maybe he'll have it figured out by the time our son is old enough to be interested!

This is great! I recall when I two oldest were younger that people often thought we were strange and our children somehow deprived because their "toys" were old computers, watches, calculators, etc. At around 9yrs. old, they could take a computer apart and reassemble it!

You go mom!

The favorite toys for our youngest two are an old keyboard and a remote control along with old cell phones! :D

Happy WW!

Lucky you! My husband is so not tech savvy. Before we were married, he didn't even have the internet!

Hi! Just found your blog today from Restored 316 Designs, and Im hooked and off to read more. I have to say, I have one of those computer parts-husbands too! If I had my web cam on right now you would see a dusty ole "educational" mac over my shoulder. He's a PC guy and I am converting myself to a mac. Anyway, ramblings, but I just wanted to say hi.
